Welcome to Seaside Retreat! We're so glad you're here.

Our family fell in love with Jekyll Island on our very first visit, and we've been coming back ever since. There's something about this place. The unhurried pace, the ancient oaks, the wide open beaches. You can't leave without already planning your next trip.

We designed Seaside Retreat to feel like a true home away from home. Whether you're here to sink your toes in the sand, hop on bikes and explore the trails, dig into the island's fascinating Gilded Age history, or simply do absolutely nothing, we hope this house gives you the perfect place to land at the end of each day.

This guide is packed with our favorite spots, honest tips, and everything you need for a wonderful stay. Please reach out anytime if there's something we can do to make your time here more special.

Enjoy every moment. Jekyll Island has a way of slowing everything down in the best possible way.

Common questions.

Don't see yours? Reach out — we're happy to help.

Yes — there is a $10 daily parking fee per vehicle, valid until midnight. You can pay in person at the causeway gate, at the Visitor's Center, or online in advance. If you plan on visiting Jekyll Island again during the year, an annual pass at $100 is well worth it.
As much as we love our own pets, we ask that yours be left at home out of respect for the health of all our guests. Please be aware that if our no-pet or no-smoking policy is broken, a $1,000 fine will be charged to the card on file and you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.
The nearest grocer is The Market in the Beach Village — great for last-minute or forgotten items, though prices are higher than a typical grocery store. If you're staying for several days, we recommend stopping at a grocery store in Brunswick before crossing the causeway. Our personal favorite is Publix on Altama Connector — stock up before you arrive and you'll be all set!
Yes! There is a full-size top-loading washer and full-size dryer available for your use throughout your stay. We do suggest washing any swimwear worn in the ocean before heading home — your car will thank you!
The best beach is the one right on the other side of our dunes — nearly empty even at the busiest times of year! For more of our favorite spots around the island, check out the Explore Jekyll Island section of this guide.
Yes! At the time of writing, we have 4 adult beach chairs, a handful of kids' beach chairs, a few umbrellas, and some water flotation devices left behind as our kids outgrew them — all yours to enjoy. We just ask that everything is rinsed free of sand and completely dry before putting it away. Enjoy!
